The Milk Collection module is used to record daily milk production from your livestock. The system supports individual, group, and bulk collection methods to match your farm workflow.

✅ Management Steps #
Step 1: Select Your Collection Method #
Before entering data, choose the appropriate collection method:
• Individual Cow #
- Best for detailed tracking
- Ideal for research or high-production animals
• Group (Stall) #
- Record milk for all cows in a shed quickly
- System auto-distributes total volume
- Allows manual adjustment per cow
• Whole Collection #
- Used for bulk tank recording
- No individual animal tracking required
Step 2: Initialize the Record #
Fill in basic collection details:
- Account Selection: Choose the correct collection account and verify account number
- Source Details: Enter source name and address (example: Morning Shift or External Supplier)
- Time & Date: Confirm collection timestamp
Step 3: Enter Production Data #
Enter milk quantity based on the selected method:
Individual Collection #
- Select animal tag
- Enter milk weight/liters
Group Collection #
- Select shed/stall
- System lists active milking cows
- Enter total liters OR adjust per cow
Whole Collection #
- Enter total milk volume in liters
Step 4: Record Quality Metrics #
- Enter Fat Percentage (FAT) if tested
- Used for analytics, productivity tracking, and milk quality monitoring
Step 5: Save and Verify #
- Click Submit to save record
- System automatically blocks entries for:
- Died animals
- Dry cows
- Heifers (not yet calved)
✔ Always review the Collection List to confirm accuracy.
📊 Management Insights #
Automatic Sync #
Individual entries automatically update Milk Per Day averages in the animal profile.
Smart Exclusion Logic #
Group collections automatically exclude:
- Dry cows
- Heifers
This prevents reporting errors.
History Tracking #
Use sidebar filters to view historical data by:
- Date
- Shed
- Animal
