Create an AI record directly from an existing Heat Detection record.

✍ Manual Entry (Standalone) #

Record an insemination directly for any active animal.

Useful when:

  • Heat was not recorded in the system
  • Emergency breeding is performed
  • Migrating legacy data

📦 Stock Integration #

  • Automatically deducts semen straws from inventory
  • Displays real-time stock levels
  • Prevents negative stock errors

📅 Due Date Calculation #

The system automatically calculates:

  • Approximate Delivery Date
  • Based on customizable gestation period
  • Default: 284 days (Cow standard)

🚀 How to Manage AI Records #


1️⃣ Recording a New Insemination #

You can record AI in two ways:


A. Linking to a Heat Record (Preferred Method) #

  1. In the Select Heat Record panel, choose a recent heat observation.
  2. The system automatically fills:
    • Stall Number
    • Animal ID
  3. Scroll down to complete pregnancy details.

✔ This ensures a clean reproductive data trail.


B. Manual Entry (Standalone) #

  1. Select Stall/Shed
  2. Choose the Animal ID
  3. Review automatically loaded animal history:
    • Previous AI attempts
    • Vaccination records
    • Health monitoring notes

Proceed to enter insemination details.


2️⃣ Filling Pregnancy Details #

Complete the following fields carefully:


🧪 Insemination Type #

Select method used:

  • Natural Service
  • Artificial Insemination
  • Specific breeding protocol

🧬 Semen Type #

Choose from your semen catalog.

✔ Stock level visible in dropdown
✔ Automatically deducted upon saving


🧫 Straws Used #

Enter number of straws consumed (typically 1).

Inventory is immediately updated.


👨‍⚕️ Technician #

  • Auto-recorded as the logged-in user
  • Ensures accountability and performance tracking

🐄 Gestation Period #

  • Default: 284 days
  • Adjustable via interactive Cow Slider
  • Modify for breed-specific requirements

📆 Insemination Date #

Select the exact date the procedure was performed.

Accurate dating ensures correct pregnancy diagnosis scheduling.


📊 AI Workflow Dashboard #

The dashboard organizes breeding status clearly.


🔥 Pending AI #

Shows animals:

  • Currently in heat
  • Without recorded insemination

This list helps prevent missed breeding opportunities.
