✅ Management Steps #
Step 1: Define Your Analysis Period #
- Use the Date Selector to filter by:
- Last 30 days
- Last 90 days
- Custom Range
- Click “Filter” to update all charts and metrics for the selected period.
This ensures your insights are relevant to the timeframe you want to analyze.
Step 2: Evaluate Herd Health Vitality #
Check the summary cards at the top of the dashboard:
- Total Health Cases: Number of new health incidents reported
- Active Treatments: Animals currently under medical care
- Health Score: A high score indicates overall herd wellness. Scores below 80 may signal nutritional or environmental issues
- Critical Cases: Animals needing urgent veterinary intervention; prioritize them immediately
Step 3: Analyze Medical Expenses #
Monitor veterinary spending with the Health Expenses breakdown:
- Treatment Costs: Money spent on medications and medical procedures
- Vaccine Costs: Investment in preventive measures; high vaccine spending often reduces future treatment costs
- Lab Costs: Expenses for testing and diagnostics
Use these insights to manage your budget effectively.
Step 4: Monitor Disease & Treatment Trends #
- Disease Distribution: Identify common illnesses (e.g., Mastitis, Pneumonia) and adjust hygiene or biosecurity measures
- Treatment Success: Compare outcomes of Symptomatic vs Confirmed Diagnosis treatments. Accurate lab testing usually improves recovery speed
- Health Trend Chart: Look for sudden spikes in case numbers; early detection allows timely isolation and treatment
Step 5: Oversee Hoof Health #
- Track Routine (Preventive) and Therapeutic (Corrective) hoof trimmings
- Maintain a high proportion of Routine trimmings to prevent lameness and sustain milk production
📊 Management Insights #
- Early Intervention: Prioritize animals listed under Recent Critical Cases for daily rounds
- Preventative vs. Curative: Rising Treatment Costs and falling Health Scores indicate the need for increased vaccination and routine monitoring
- Trend Correlation: Compare health trends with Milk Analytics; drops in milk production often follow spikes in health cases
