The Non-Current Asset Management module tracks all long-term assets using a hybrid approach:

• Biological Assets: Cows & calves (auto-managed)
• Fixed Assets: Land, machinery, buildings (manual entries)

Key Features #

1. Herd Valuation

• Automatically calculates the total value of:
  • Active cows (based on buying price)
  • Calves (based on estimated or buying price)

2. Asset Lifecycle Tracking

• Monitors assets from acquisition to final status:
  • Active
  • Sold
  • Disposed

3. Auto-Sync Updates

• Biological asset values update in real time when animals are:
  • Added
  • Purchased
  • Marked deceased in Cow/Calf modules

Operations #

1. View Asset Breakdown #

• Biological Assets:
  • Highlighted in green
  • Show type (Cow/Calf) and value
• Fixed Assets:
  • Displayed as standard rows
  • Editable fields: Name, purchase date, value

2. Manage Fixed Assets #

You can:

• Add new asset records
• Edit existing entries
• Delete unused records
• Update asset status to Sold or Disposed

3. Herd Insights #

• Click the Eye icon on a biological asset to view the full animal profile.
• Note: Biological assets are read-only in this module and must be managed within the Cow Management section.
